I don’t want your or your listener’s data.
All I care about is to provide useful software. Of course I need to collect and save some data to achieve this but I’m trying to keep it to the minimum. Specifically, if you’re looking for a service that tries hard to squeeze as much data out of your listeners as possible for whatever reason (but we all know it’s in the name of targeted advertising), then you’re in the wrong place.
This will never happen here.

This website is hosted on servers by DigitalOcean in Frankfurt, Germany. You can read the Data Processing Agreement here.
Every web page access generates a log entry. However, no IP addresses are stored in log files.

The connection between your web browser and the server is encrypted by SSL.
- Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on your computer by your web browser while you are browsing.
As a visitor of this page, a session cookie is used to enable login functionality. No other services or websites have access to this cookie.
- Fonts

The fabulous Inter font is used on this website. It’s hosted on this very server so no external providers are involved.
- Statistics & Tracking

No usage statistics or tracking is generated for visiting or using this website.
When you sign up to the service and enable the Feed Proxy feature, access logs for RSS feed requests are generated and stored. These entries don’t contain IP addresses but an anonymised combination of the IP address of the client (actor or person accessing the RSS feed) and the user agent (label of the accessing agent). This is necessary to enable generation of subscriber counts. No other data about feed usage is stored.
- Subscription & Payments with Stripe

Stripe is used as a subscriptions & payment provider. I have signed a Data Processing Agreement with Stripe.
To be functional, Stripe must process and store personal data to process payment transactions, such as:
- cardholder name
- email address
- unique customer identifier
- order id
- bank account details
- payment card details
- card expiration date
- CVC code
- date/time/amount of transaction
- merchant name/ID
- location
- Information, correction and deletion

You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by me at any time. You also have the right to correct or delete your personal data or parts thereof. Write me an email to eric@podlove.org. Please note that when I receive this email, personal data will be saved in my email account.
- E-Mail & mailgun

When you contact me by e-mail to eric@podlove.org, I will store all information you are sending me. I do this so I can answer you appropriately. I will store these e-mails indefinitely in my mail account.
When the service sends automated e-mails, for example when you register and receive your login data by e-mail, the service mailgun is used.
- Newsletter

The newsletter service is hosted by ConvertKit. When you sign up for the newsletter, your e-mail address is stored with ConvertKit so e-mail can be sent to you.
- Changes to the data protection declaration

I reserve the right to adjust this data protection declaration from time to time so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to explain changes to my infrastructure. The new data protection declaration then applies to your next visit.
